Lipstick 101

Getting sultry red lips or subtle mauves and neutrals has never been easier. With all kinds of finishes from metallic to matte to creme and satin and colors across the entire color spectrum, getting into lip colors has never been easier!

Smashbox just released an impressive collection of 120 different kinds of lipstick. The Be Legendary Lipsticks offer tons of options, but also carry a $21 price tag. The Loaded Bold Lipsticks by Maybelline offer a more affordable option and still carry a bunch of fun shades for just $8 a lipstick!

The same can be said for liquid lipsticks. Sometimes a girl just needs something that can outlast her afternoon coffee! MAC introduced its Retro Matte Liquid LipColour, so that you can show off a stunning lip color that is more long-wearing than your average lipstick. You can also find tons of fun shades at just $6 each from ColourPop. They do offer glossy and satin finishes, but the ultra matte lips they offer are incredibly long-wearing and not too drying! Hint: their Fall Edit features the fantastic shades Hutch, Lovebug, and Times Square that can fit almost any fall look!

If you’re looking for something more adventurous, you can always try the Cosmic Metals Lip Creams by NYX. Or you can add glam to any lip color with the Jouer Long-Wear Lip Topper! As a last tip, Essence offers the XXXL Shine Lipgloss in Big Night Out which is a fabulous lip gloss for just $3. Easy glam without a huge price tag!
